The job holder will be responsible for leading the operations in order to deliver results for the business. The job holder will also be responsible for driving retail business and operations to ensure achievement of growth and market share in the region.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Develops the strategy and plans for the Business Unit
Prepares and manages the annual budget for the Business Unit budget and secures subsequent approval, tracks expenditure and ensures adherence to the budget
Defines the operating framework and policies for the Business Unit and ensures compliance with internal quality standards
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of services within and outside the Business Unit
Core Responsibilities:
Oversees and works with the retail operations to ensure that store displays and inventory levels are adequate to meet the forecast sales budget
Keeps abreast of upcoming competitor services and products, new sales techniques, and market information through research, continued education, and professional growth
Drives the retail sales strategy in collaboration with a top-quality sales team to deliver against revenue and profitability targets
Oversees inventory management systems within the Retail stores (stock availability, order management, back store management, stock consolidation and transfer)
Develops and leverages partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by leading initiatives and engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution and evaluation of appropriate business plans
Gathers and analyzes feedback from the sales activities to identify customer requirements and implement sales strategies
Oversees activities of the retail sales activities to ensure availability of promotional material, product stocks and display of the same at retail stores
Ensures regular and effective collaboration with marketing departments to implement marketing plans and facilitate promotional activities
Prepares and submits retail channel performance reports to the senior management for effective decision making
Monitors store administration through periodical store visits and retail meetings to maximize operational efficiency within the retail stores
Ensures implementation of pricing policies, customer satisfaction targets and adherence to defined processes, policies and procedures
Keeps abreast of upcoming competitor services and products, new sales techniques, and market information through research, continued education, and professional growth Monitors and analyzes findings from competitor and market intelligence data, its impact on the business strategy and provides periodic feedback to the senior management
Drives category discounts and promotion decisions across all stores, ensuring adequate GP
Formulates and implements store strategies and procedures to maximize sales, profitability and commercial performance of all retail outlets
Formulates and develops Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), monitors performance against plan and initiates remedial actions in case of discrepancy between actual and expected performance
Provides periodic sales and revenue forecasts to the senior management in an accurate manner, and develops action plans to achieve set revenue targets

Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective implementation of the Company’s performance management process
Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to achieve the defined goals
Drives a culture of feedback and coaching in the Business Unit/ Department by providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching the employees on the areas of improvement
