The Equity Sales department primarily handles trading global equity and fixed income products.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades of various financial products (primarily stocks and bonds) on clients’ behalf accurately, timely and compliantly.
• Actively manage settlement of contracts before due date.
• Manage client’s risk exposure and monitor margin client accounts, pre-empting margin calls.
• Engage clients to provide instructions for corporate actions (e.g. dividend election, rights issue etc).
• Assist clients with queries on trading platform and company news.
• Communicate with clients daily with a service-oriented attitude.
• Prospect and on-board new client relationship through various means to grow team revenue base and actively re-engage inactive clients in trading.
• Share research documentations to clients in a timely manner.
• Writing and providing short company snapshots/snippets to clients enquiring.
• Ensure full compliance with company and industry rules and regulations.
• Any other ad-hoc work assigned by team members.

Requirement

• Diploma/Bachelor's in Finance or related qualifications (fresh grads eligible) with a passion in equity investments.
• Able to learn and build up product & services knowledge expeditiously and within a reasonable period of time.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel formulas is a must.
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
• Self-driven, self-motivated and a pro-active approach toward resolving issues.
• Ideal candidate should be meticulous and organized.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese.
• Team Player and ready to cover team members’ duties when necessary.
• Knowledge/Experience in the stock markets.
• Proficiency in using Bloomberg Terminal is preferred.
• Respond to client queries or orders in a timely manner.
• Ability to socialize well with clients at casual or formal networking events.
• Willingness to learn (if you do not possess any of the above, we are willing to teach so long as you are willing to learn).
• Must be able to work on public holidays. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.
• Upon confirmation of hire, candidates will be required to acquire CMFAS certifications (Modules 1A, 5, 6 and 6A).
