Retail Associate

Position Summary

The Retail Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience and driving sales within our store. They assist customers in selecting products, maintaining an organized and visually appealing store environment, and contributing to achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service Excellence

• Greet and assist customers, ensuring a welcoming and positive shopping experience.
• Provide personalized product recommendations and answer customer queries.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate as necessary.

2. Sales and Product Promotion

• Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Actively promote ongoing sales, promotions, and loyalty programs to customers.
• Stay informed about product details, new arrivals, and trends to enhance sales efforts.

3. Store Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
• Assist with restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring proper product placement.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system and manage cash handling.

4. Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the store manager.
• Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.
• Ensure proper handling and care of merchandise.

5. Team Collaboration

• Work closely with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Support new team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Communicate customer feedback and suggestions to management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of retail/customer service experience in a retail or FMCG industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, approachable, and energetic personality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work 5-day work week, on rotating shift, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of POS systems and handling cash transactions is an advantage.
