Job Responsibilities:

  • Staff Supervision: Oversee front-of-house team to ensure high-quality service and a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service: Address guest concerns, complaints, and special requests, ensuring a memorable and positive dining experience.
  • Training & Development: Train new staff and provide continuous development to existing employees to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, ordering, and maintaining stock levels for food, beverages, and restaurant supplies.
  • Staff Scheduling: Help create and manage employee schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak hours and special events.
  • Operational Support: Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations, including ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Financial Oversight: Track sales, labor costs, and operational expenses to meet budgetary goals and optimize profitability.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards, are adhered to at all times.
  • Marketing & Promotions: Support the implementation of marketing strategies, promotions, and seasonal menu changes to boost restaurant traffic.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve customer complaints and staff conflicts in a professional manner, maintaining a positive atmosphere.
  • Cash Handling & Reporting: Oversee cash handling, assist with daily reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a restaurant assistant manager or similar role in the food service industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and financial tracking.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
  • A positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
