The Resident Technical Officer (M&E) shall be familiar with the respective M&E system testing and Commissioning (T&C) procedure and attend T&C and necessary follow up with the Consultant and Contractor;
The Resident Technical Officer (M&E) shall demonstrate strong understanding of respective M&E sequence of works and co-ordinating works;
The Resident Technical Officer (M&E) shall have experience in solving site clashes/problem with regards to M&E and other disciplines.
Support and assist the SRE / RE / RA in duties, review all project drawings and specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible problems before construction work commence on site
Supervise the construction and related works, maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings
Report to the supervising Qualified Persons any work that are not constructed according to the building approved plans, project drawings including shop drawings;
Report to project manager and/or project consultants any work that are not constructed according to the specifications and drawings;
liaise with the supervising Qualified Persons and their engineers/architects / specialists on the review and approval of revised designs, amended drawings, specialist drawings, sketches, etc.
Assist in the review of contractor’s method statements and working procedures, and to ensure that they are followed on site;
verify progress payment claims, all other claims and reports submitted by the contractors;
keep and review records of works including materials, samples, site equipment, inspections, test reports and ensure proper documentation, keep track of all records and forms
oversee the maintenance of the site office, its cleanliness and orderliness, proper filing systems, plans
Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from Singapore Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing; and
Possess at least 5 years of relevant and practical experience on site.
