Resident Technical Officer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project site supervision, inspection, documentation and coordination for structural, architectural, M&E works for public housing project.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. To assist the Consultant in supervision of the construction of the Structural Works under the Building Control Act.
2. To assist the Consultants in supervision of the construction of the Architectural and M&E works as required by the Consultants and the Developer.
3. To ensure all works on site, including installation methods and materials used are in accordance to contract specifications and approved drawings.
4. To supervise and inspect the contractor’s works to ensure the works on site are of the expected quality.
5. To ensure proper site documentation is maintained.
6. Monitoring the construction activities.
7. Conduct pre- and post-completion inspections.
8. To conduct other related duties as required by the Consultants and Developer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in the supervision of building projects in Singapore, preferably in HDB projects.
2. Possess at least the National Construction Certificate of Supervision (NCCS).
3. Experience in precast structural works, prefabricated bathroom unit construction works and able to supervise architectural works or M&E works are essential. Candidates who are able to supervise inter-discipline works would be beneficial.
4. Conversant in statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures and construction administration.
5. Good communication and coordination skills.
6. Employment contract period is approximately 24 months (with option to extend).
7. Able to start work immediately preferred.
8. 5.5 days work week.
