RESIDENT TECHINICAL OFFICER

Job Responsibilities

1. Check all drawings, specifications, and schedule of works as per the contract document and report discrepancies to the consultant and contractor to avoid progress delays.
2. Provide full-time site supervision and inspections to ensure that all structural works are carried out as per approved specifications and drawings, using approved materials in an appropriate sequence and methods.
3. Inspect and monitor the quality of architectural finishing materials delivered to the site and the quality of workmanship.
4. Carry out supervision and coordination of architectural works of the project and exercise all reasonable skill, care, and diligence in the discharge of the contract.
5. Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) in supervising and inspecting all structural works.
6. Assist the Construction Project Manager (CPM) in site progress and update proper site records about the work progress and documentation.
7. Attend site meetings and site walks with clients and consultants.
8. Ensure timely submission of shop drawings, method statements, other technical submissions, material samples, and trade demonstrations by the contractors.
9. Assist and coordinate with consultants to resolve any technical and interfacing issues.
10. Familiarize with the consultant's Quality Management System and make proper documentation for QMS audits to comply with HDB audit.
11. Liaise with the contractor on work schedules, progress, work quality, and quality control.
12. Witness and verify any field tests carried out on site.
13. Monitor site instrumentation reports (settlement markers, vibration reports, noise meters).
14. Update monthly progress reports and daily site activities reports.
15. Enforce quality control, safety management, vector control, and tidiness of the work site.
16. Update monthly Consultant Safety and Vector reports.
