Resident Engineer (IBM & AIX)

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide Level 2 support for AIX operating systems and related technologies, ensuring system stability and performance.
2. Administer AIX servers, including installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
3. Manage virtualization technologies such as PowerVM, SR-IOV, SEA, and VIOS.
4. Implement and maintain high availability solutions using HACMP and monitor system performance.
5. Ensure security compliance by applying best practices, patches, and conducting audits.

Requirements

1. Proven experience with IBM AIX system administration and virtualization (PowerVM, VIOS, LPARs).
2. Strong knowledge of high availability (HACMP) and security measures for AIX systems.
3. Familiarity with IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) and performance tuning tools.
4. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with client teams.
