Oversee all aspects of construction projects on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Supervise construction activities, including site preparation, excavation, structural works, and finishing, to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues, address changes, and ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to verify workmanship and materials meet project requirements.
Review and approve construction drawings and material submissions in accordance with project specifications.
Monitor progress and performance against project schedules, budgets, and milestones, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
Manage and resolve any disputes, conflicts, or claims that may arise during the construction process.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project team members to resolve design-related issues and ensure constructability.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, inspectors, and site staff as needed.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations on-site and promote a culture of safety among project personnel.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; professional licensure is preferred.
5+ years of experience in construction management or resident engineering roles, preferably in infrastructure or building projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Experience with construction management software and tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Willingness to work extended hours and travel as required to meet project needs.
