Job Description
We are looking for a Research Lead with a strong background in Generative AI to drive innovation and advance our AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Generative AI or a related field, possess deep expertise in image processing, and have experience leading research teams. In this role, you will guide the development of cutting-edge AI solutions that leverage generative models to solve complex industry problems, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of AI researchers focused on Generative AI, LLM (Large Language Models), VLM (Vision-Language Models), and image processing.
- Drive the design, development, and optimization of Generative AI models to enhance Cynapse's video intelligence solutions.
- Develop and implement advanced LLM and VLM architectures for solving real-world challenges.
- Set the research vision, establish goals, and align research initiatives with Cynapse's product roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business, to integrate research outcomes into production systems.
- Stay at the forefront of AI advancements by publishing research papers, attending conferences, and evaluating emerging technologies.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate the viability of innovative ideas.
- Mentor and grow a team of researchers, fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and excellence.
- Ensure research projects are delivered on time, with a focus on practical and measurable business impact.
Qualifications
- PhD in Generative AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading research teams, including setting goals and delivering results.
- Deep expertise in Generative AI models (e.g., GANs, VAEs, Diffusion Models, Transformers).
- Strong experience in Large Language Models (LLM) and Vision-Language Models (VLM).
- Strong background in image processing and real-world applications of computer vision.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar, with experience in AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Solid understanding of cloud-based AI deployments and scalable architectures.
- A strong track record of research contributions, including peer-reviewed publications or patents.
- Experience in bridging the gap between research and product development.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor researchers.
