Job Description

As a (Senior) Research Engineer in our Robotics & Automation R&D team, you will play a role in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing intelligent robotics solutions that solve challenges across various industries. Leveraging your expertise in robotics, computer vision, AI, and ROS, you will contribute to the development of next-generation robotic platforms that exhibit advanced perception, cognition, and decision-making capabilities. As we continue to expand our horizons, we are seeking a talented Research Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

1. Algorithm Development: Design and implement algorithms for robot perception, 2D/3D scene understanding, localization, and planning to improve the intelligence of robots for addressing real-world tasks.
2. AI and Learning: Develop, integrate, and deploy advanced AI models for various robot tasks such as 2D/3D detection and self-learning, to enhance autonomy for tasks such as pick and place and assembly.
3. Robot Planning and Control: Develop robot motion/trajectory planning and control solutions using tools such as ROS1/ROS2, MoveIt, and Nvidia Isaac for robot simulation and control.
4. Prototype Development: Build and iterate on prototypes to validate algorithms and concepts in real-world robotic applications, ensuring robustness and scalability.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's or master's degree holder in Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Computer Science, or related fields.
2. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and C++, and familiarity with software development best practices.
3. Experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with Robot Operating System (ROS).
4. Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and areas, with a proactive approach to skill development.
