Research Scientist

We are now looking for a Scientist / Principal Engineer for our Research & Development Unit to join our team.

You will strategically position AMF to grow and support businesses across various markets and regions and, therefore, have a proven track record of creativity, problem-solving, and a strong interest in Opto-Electronics.

You enjoy working independently but understand the importance of building synergies across the broader organization to plan and execute industrial projects with on-time delivery.

You will lead your organization by example, communicate your ideas effectively, and forge trustworthy relationships between the Business Unit, Manufacturing Operations, and Customers.

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D in Integrated Photonics or Electrical / Electronics
• Hands-on experience in photonic simulation using software such as Lumerical / Rsoft, Electrical simulation using software such as Ansys / Synopsys / Silvaco, and layout drawing
• Experience in fabrication of silicon photonics is a bonus point
• Strong self-motivation and interest in silicon photonics
• Plan, manage, and execute industrial projects with on-time delivery
• Fabricate and integrate silicon photonics process development
