Job description

The successful applicant will be involved in a multidisciplinary and collaborative research study on the built environment and mental well-being. He/She will investigate how the urban environment, such as neighbourhood design, heat stress, and noise pollution, can influence the positive and negative aspects of mental well-being in families. The candidate will also be involved in longitudinal cohort studies and collaborations with clinicians and researchers from a wide range of disciplines.


Responsibilities:

  • Data management and analysis of data
  • Combine a thorough examination of the literature with study results to answer scientific questions and hypotheses
  • Assist with preparation of scientific publications, data reports, grants, and presentations
  • Perform measurements, collection of data and samples as well as field and experimental work
  • Assist with other administrative duties

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Bioinformatics, Architecture, Statistics, Geography, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a closely related field
  • No experience required; applicants with relevant project experience are welcome
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent communication and writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical programs
  • Strong desire to learn in a dynamic multi-disciplinary research environment
  • Previous experience with geospatial analysis, managing and analyzing data sets, and/or in bioinformatics will be preferred
