Research Lead (Clinical/Public Health)

Job Summary:

• Contract Basis

• Located at Queenstown

• 5 Days (8.30AM to 6.00PM)

• Basic up to $6,000

• AWS + VB

Main Responsibilities:

• Support Strategic Planning & Project Execution: Assist the department head in planning, developing, leading projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful management and delivery.

• Develop study protocols and ensure alignment with research objectives.

• Create statistical analysis plans, conduct analyses, and interpret results.

• Ensure compliance with ethical standards and local regulations throughout the study.

• Supervise and guide both quantitative and qualitative analysis processes.

• Write scientific papers and share study findings through appropriate channels.

• Prepare proposals for new research grants and funding opportunities.

• Conduct literature reviews, including systematic reviews, to support research activities.

• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on research tasks.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and research partners to advance study initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Public Health or Health Services Research.

• Proven track record in clinical/public health/health services research, with strong leadership and management experience.

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in the field.

• Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

• Proficiency with statistical or qualitative software (e.g., STATA, SPSS, NVivo).

• Strong scientific writing abilities, demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals.

• Experience in managing research projects from design through implementation to completion.

• Project management skills, with a history of leading and coordinating research teams.

• Confidence in engaging with clinician investigators and research collaborators, both internally and externally.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
