As an intern within the Target Biology and Screening group, which is a part of Quantitative Biosciences, you will gain the opportunity to work with talented and dedicated scientists, learn from leading industry experts, and gain exposure and professional experience working for a research-driven enterprise. You will use your passion, creativity, knowledge, and collaboration skills to find solutions to challenging problems in your day-to-day work.

Position Title

Research Intern, Target Biology and Screening (Quantitative Biosciences)

Job Purpose

The Research Intern will work closely with an assigned scientific supervisor on a lab-based research project and will focus on developing mass spectrometry-based workflows to support drug discovery pipelines by facilitating decision-making based on quantitative profiling of proteins, lipids, metabolites, and candidate drugs.

Qualification

Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Master’s program leading to a Diploma/Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Analytical Sciences, Biological Sciences, or Life Sciences-related discipline.

Experience And Skills

  1. Working knowledge of laboratory-based methodologies such as mass spectrometry, molecular biology, Western blot, immunocytochemistry, quantitative plate-based detection methodologies, imaging, and microscopy.
  2. Hands-on laboratory experience preferred.
  3. Strong interest in mass spectrometry-based techniques.
  4. Bioinformatics or programming experience with Python or R would be a plus.
