The Signature Research Programme in Neuroscience and Behavioural Disorders (NBD) is focused on understanding the structure and function of the nervous system, and the neural mechanisms underlying human neurological, psychiatric and ophthalmological disorders.
The Laboratory of Neural Stem Cells, led by Professor Hongyan Wang, is dedicated to understanding molecular mechanisms of brain development. Utilizing Drosophila, mouse, and human brain organoids as model systems, our research focuses on elucidating to neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and regeneration, as well as their implications in neurodevelopmental disorders (Science Advances 2024, Nature Communications 2024, PLOS Biology 2024, Cell 2024, Developmental Cell 2023, 2010, 2011). Prof. Wang, an EMBO Associate Member, is an internationally recognized leader in the field of neural stem cells.
This position represents an exceptional opportunity to gain experience in cutting-edge biomedical research within a friendly, collaborative, and supportive laboratory environment. For further details, please visit the Wang Lab website: https://www.duke-nus.edu.sg/directory/detail/hongyan-wang.
