Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow (Postdoctoral Researcher) to join our team, specializing in the research and development of advanced flexible electronics for health monitoring applications.
The successful candidate will focus on the design, development, and integration of innovative sensors, actuators, and flexible electronic circuits tailored for wearable health monitoring devices. This role will involve exploring new materials, technologies, and fabrication techniques to enhance the performance, flexibility, and scalability of health monitoring systems.
The Research Fellow will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to lead projects aimed at advancing flexible electronics for real-time physiological monitoring/wearable robotics, contributing to the development of next-generation healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize flexible electronic devices, including sensors, actuators, and integrated circuits for health monitoring / wearable robotics applications.
- Design and fabricate flexible electronics components, including flexible substrates, interconnects, and sensors.
- Conduct performance analysis of flexible electronics, including testing for sensitivity, durability, and integration with wearable devices.
- Investigate new materials and fabrication methods to improve the flexibility, efficiency, and scalability of wearable electronics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and medical professionals, to tailor flexible electronics for health-related use cases.
- Contribute to research publications and present findings at conferences.
- Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing fabrication and testing processes for new devices.
Qualifications
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with more than 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of flexible electronics, including sensors, actuators, and circuit design.
- Experience with fabrication techniques such as flexible substrates, and microelectronics.
- Familiarity with sensor integration and characterization methods, including for health monitoring/ wearable robotics applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document research findings and communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
