Research Engineer (MNC/Scientific/ Polymer/ Plastic)

Job Responsibilities

1. Design and conduct experiments for polymer synthesis, modification, and analysis

2. Optimize formulations and processing methods for advanced materials

3. Maintain accurate lab records and technical reports

4. Apply machine learning to predict polymer properties and identify new candidates

5. Develop AI/ML algorithms for property prediction and process optimization

6. Build data pipelines and predictive models for material performance

7. Integrate computational chemistry tools like DFT and molecular dynamics software (e.g., VASP, Gaussian, Amber)

8. Analyze reaction mechanisms and simulate mechanical or chemical properties

9. Construct material databases for data-driven research

10. Lead and contribute to cross-functional collaborations with scientists and engineers

11. Write research papers, patents, and deliver presentations at scientific forums

12. Coordinate with universities and research institutions for joint projects

13. Guide and mentor junior team members

14. Manage R&D projects, including planning, budgeting, and reporting

15. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements

16. Promote proper waste disposal and maintain a clean lab environment
