Research Engineer I (Engineering/Material Science/Physics/Chemistry)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform research and analysis and execute solar cell, module & system experiments at a journal publication level.
2. Lead the solar cell, module, and system regeneration research/industrialization activities and perform measurements/characterization for the research project.
3. Be responsible for the regeneration lab equipment related activities, including specification and design, maintenance, and licensing.
4. Execute solar material, cell, module, and system experiment activities and perform characterization and analysis for the research project.
5. Document the experiment results, lab reports, and prepare quality presentation materials.
6. Assist with public journal/conference publications when required, documenting the experiment results, lab reports, and preparing quality presentation materials.
7. Capable of making independent contributions and meeting project deliverables.
8. Support researchers both within the team and industry collaborators to deliver the projects and meet project deadlines.
9. Provide training for the internship students and research/industry collaborators involved in this project.

Job Requirements:

1. Candidate with a degree in engineering, material science, physics, chemistry, or related fields is preferred.
2. 2 - 3 years of working experience is preferable; entry-level candidates are also welcome.
3. Industrial/lab experience in solar device design is preferred.
4. Experience in planning and executing solar device or material-related experiments is preferred.
5. Material characterization experience is preferred.
6. Team player with good communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team as well as independently.
7. Able to carry out and summarize literature research and study.
8. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Able to communicate with other researchers (internal and external) and engineers effectively.
10. Able to work overtime when necessary.
