Research Associate (Chemical Engineering/Chemistry)

The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Specific precipitation
2. Liquid-liquid or liquid/solid extraction
3. Simulation of scaled-up process
4. Design of continuous process based on the most interesting systems for the selective recovery of the metal ions of interest
5. Implementation of the process at pilot scale (~10 L/h or larger) to demonstrate its feasibility and to give first hints for cost analysis from the perspective of development at industrial size

Job Requirements:

1. Masters in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry
2. Strong background in chemical separation processes, especially hydrometallurgy
3. Good record of publications and intellectual properties
4. Experience with lab setup or prototype development
5. Familiarity with chemical elements characterization techniques (Spectrophotometry, ICP, FX…)
6. Familiarity with LabVIEW, Python, or process simulation software
7. Excellent command of oral and written English for publications
