Job Description

The Programme in Health Services and Systems Research in Duke-NUS Medical School is looking for candidates with either undergraduate or master's training in economics or related disciplines to support our growing portfolio of econometric/statistical analysis and decision analytic modelling projects.

This position will report directly to Senior Health Economists in the Health Economics Lab and offers excellent opportunities to develop and refine in-demand skills in applied health economics and to be co-author on publications. Successful candidates will assist in high-value health economic research endeavours and perform a variety of research activities which include planning, organising, and conducting research studies within the overall scope of a research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate:

  • Conduct econometric and statistical analysis.
  • Prepare sections of surveys, study protocols, analysis plans, manuscripts, reports, and grant proposals with a goal toward producing high-quality research outputs.
  • Conduct literature reviews.
  • Accurate monitoring, documenting, and reporting of experimental results and research findings.
  • Assist with teaching for relevant related modules.
  • Perform other related or additional duties assigned by the Principal Investigator or his/her designate.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Economics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Expertise in statistical/econometric analysis with modelling packages such as Stata.
  • Good knowledge, skills, and expertise in supporting various research activities.
  • Knowledge of the scientific background relevant to the research area.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A strong team player with the ability to work harmoniously in a diverse workforce.
