The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistants to join our projects in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Our projects are primarily focused on exploring the role of neuroimaging in the clinic, facilitated by quantitative analysis including machine learning, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease), with a small focus on brain tumor imaging. The primary responsibilities of the Research Assistant will revolve around data management and administrative tasks, as described below:
Database management and basic analysis:
Assist in the preparation of scientific documents:
Interested candidates should: (a) Have an undergraduate degree with good grades or a Master's degree in life sciences, engineering, or related fields; preferably, but not required, with some experience in dry lab or imaging research (b) Have basic programming skills in R and Python (ability to use code written by others under guidance) (c) Have fluent oral & written communication skills (d) Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and show investigative tendencies and attention to detail.
