Regulatory Compliance Officer (Senior Officer, Permanent)

We are hiring a Regulatory Compliance Officer (Senior Officer) to join the Compliance team of a leading bank. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in regulatory environments and is passionate about ensuring adherence to compliance frameworks, regulatory reporting, and monitoring processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Compliance Operations & Monitoring
   • Track and ensure compliance with local banking laws, regulations, and internal policies.
   • Conduct periodic compliance reviews, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective measures.
   • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and escalate any non-compliance issues promptly.
2. Regulatory Reporting & Liaison
   • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory reports to local authorities in a timely and accurate manner.
   • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity and completeness in regulatory submissions.
   • Support regulatory liaison matters, including interactions with relevant authorities.
3. Policy & Risk Management
   • Assist in updating compliance policies and procedures to reflect evolving regulatory requirements.
   • Support risk management workstreams such as operational risk, business continuity, and third-party risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
• 2–4 years of regulatory compliance experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Exposure to compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, and surveillance is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Professional certifications in compliance (ICTA, WMI, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
