Regional Solution Engineer - Infrastructure Solutions

Background:

• Base: Singapore
• Coverage: APAC
• Report to: Head of Technical & Operation, APAC

How you spend your time:

• Manage Structured Cabling Projects from beginning to completion, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints.
• Take a lead role in planning, coordinating, and facilitating structured cabling projects through completion.
• Responsible for maintaining active project plans and project budgets and profitability.
• Collect data and document test results.
• Perform design review and update plans and “as-built” drawings accordingly.
• Work with Supply Chain to provide inputs towards optimizing resource management and forecasting resource requirements.
• Develop design/construction documents, project budgets, customer proposals, coordinate with system vendors, and monitor and inspect work performed.
• Create and present management reports on project status and outcomes.
• Provide expertise and maintain product evaluations on competitive product offers and act as the main customer contact on product requirements.
• May require leading new product development and being part of technology and product roadmap development.
• Have a full understanding of the existing portfolio, cost positions for all product variables, and total understanding of customer price points.
• Support the Sales team (domestic and APAC excluding China) for product-related requirements when selecting sales/distribution channels to target markets and customers.
• Participate in the development of sales and marketing materials, brochures, data sheets, and catalogues where additional technical expertise is required.
• Mitigate risk on behalf of the company.

What will make you successful:

• 5+ years’ experience in the telecommunication cabling industry.
• Proven experience in structured cabling systems for Voice, Data, Video, Outside Plant, BMS, and Audio-Visual Systems.
• Expert ability in reading and understanding telecommunications drawings and plans.
• Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
• Good communication and people skills in dealing with clients, vendors, and co-workers.
• Collaborative; able to leverage teamwork internally.

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering discipline.
• Recognized Industrial certificate/s is a plus.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and BICSI standards.
• RCDD Certification is not required, but preferred.
