Job Description

  1. Identify and secure new business opportunities in the freight forwarding sector, leveraging industry insights and expertise in specific verticals.
  2. Strategically pursue and convert prospects into long-term, loyal clients.
  3. Build and sustain robust relationships with key accounts to foster customer satisfaction, retention, and incremental business growth.
  4. Act as the primary contact for customers, resolving concerns and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  5. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, assess competitive landscapes, and recommend actionable strategies to penetrate new markets.
  6. Stay updated on regulatory changes, trade practices, and economic trends affecting the freight forwarding industry.
  7. Design and execute effective sales plans to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets.
  8. Align individual sales strategies with overall organizational goals and market dynamics.
  9. Work closely with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of freight solutions tailored to client needs.
  10. Provide comprehensive and accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market feedback to senior leadership.
  11. Conduct face-to-face client meetings and attend industry events to strengthen relationships and expand market presence.

Requirements

  1. A minimum of 5 years of proven success in sales roles within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  2. Demonstrated ability to develop and close high-value deals and achieve sales KPIs.
  3. Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  4. Strong understanding of air and ocean freight forwarding solutions, market dynamics, and customer expectations.
  5. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholder groups.
  6. Advanced proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools for managing leads and tracking performance metrics.
  7. Adept at building strategic relationships, identifying opportunities, and converting them into revenue.
  8. Self-driven and resilient, with a “can-do” attitude to navigate complex sales scenarios.
  9. Flexible and adaptable to work in multicultural environments and meet extensive travel requirements.
  10. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  11. Analytical thinker capable of formulating actionable insights from market research and sales data.
