Regional IT Business Partner

Sephora Asia is looking for an IT Business Partner to successfully manage the suite of tech capabilities across two Commercial functions - Asia Merchandising and Loyalty Marketing. We are looking for a highly motivated strategic thinker and an excellent collaborator who can partnership and influence stakeholders across Asia (including Great China and SEA) in transforming the organization with cutting edge technologies in a high paced environment.

The IT Business Partner for the Merchandising and Loyalty Marketing functions plays a critical role in aligning business strategies with technology solutions. This role requires close collaboration with commercial teams to understand their goals, pain points, and strategic priorities.

The IT Business Partner will be responsible for developing business cases together with commercial owners and identifying value realization through KPIs and metrics, tracking adoption rates to ensure solutions deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate will prioritize business backlogs, ensure timely delivery of impactful solutions, and act as a trusted advisor between the business and technical teams to optimize performance.

The role will be based in Singapore, and ad hoc travel may be required to Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong business partnerships with Merchandising and Loyalty Marketing functions to deliver technology solutions that drive measurable business value.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business objectives, pain points, and priorities, translating them into clear, actionable requirements for technical solution teams.
  • Develop business cases and define value realization frameworks (KPIs, metrics) to ensure ROI and successful adoption of technology solutions.
  • Prioritize product roadmaps based on business objectives and planning budget to ensure backlog items deliver the highest business return in the shortest time.
  • Facilitate decision-making processes by managing trade-offs and defining acceptance criteria in partnership with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee the governance and tracking of project and product progress, including adoption metrics and change management, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Lead and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party vendors, to ensure alignment and successful execution of IT initiatives.
  • Support the development of RFPs and business cases, ensuring alignment with financial goals and business priorities.
  • Participate in Change Boards and decision-making processes where required when releasing product updates and changes to the business.
  • Strengthen the IT Business Partner team by contributing to processes, standards, and governance, and mentoring team members to enhance their business acumen and technical understanding.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in technology or delivery management, with proven experience in managing enterprise-level applications and experience working on enterprise transformation projects is preferred.
  • Business key stakeholder management: building effective partnerships with internal stakeholders, and ensuring alignment between business and technical teams. Demonstrate ability to deliver measurable business value through the successful implementation of IT initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong capability to lead cross-functional teams without direct line management, ensuring high-quality delivery within tight deadlines.
  • Industry and Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of retail or luxury fashion, particularly within Merchandising or Loyalty Marketing domains technologies and familiar with SAP retail solution is ideal.
  • Vendor management: Strong skills in managing third-party vendors and their teams.
  • Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on delivering outcomes that align with business objectives.
  • Technological Expertise: Experience working with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence, with a preference for those familiar with emerging technologies and product development trends.
