The Regional Finance Senior Manager works closely with the Regional Finance Director to support Finance operations in the region. The role is responsible for providing commercial insights and advice, in addition to protecting and growing the business by maintaining and continually improving financial controls, systems, and processes. This role involves partnering with customers and our employees to drive win-win outcomes to business challenges in an ever-changing market.
The role oversees the rollout of regional Finance strategy across country Finance teams to drive improved efficiency, effectiveness, and internal control of Finance operations. This role also oversees the country Finance operations to support business operations.
Key Accountabilities
Support the implementation and communication of the Finance strategic vision to the countries
Support the identification of strategic investment opportunities to enhance Finance Service Delivery
Champion a strong continuous improvement culture to ensure deployment of scalable, simplified, and standardized processes
Drive, implement and communicate all process harmonization and digitalization initiatives across the Finance function to deliver improved controls, operational efficiency, and cost optimization
Support the implementation of initiatives related to building a centralized/shared service model
Support the team responsible for identifying risks and opportunities and work with the business to optimize working capital, maximize revenue and profitability
Collate country insights and local regulatory information from Country Finance Leads and use it to drive decision making on financial and budgetary plans
Manage all aspects of Finance accounting and reporting across the region, including financial and statutory reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, management reporting, taxation, and cash management activities
Prepare the annual business and budget plans, as well as monthly and quarterly reports on financial performance and business for presentation to regional stakeholders
Coach and manage the performance of direct reports for improved overall business performance to provide reasonable service level to meet business requirements
Lead in driving the cultural standards for the function, demonstrating the Company's values to drive employee engagement and motivation
Cascade communications on all strategic functional initiatives for the function
Support succession planning & leadership development for the function
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
A qualified accountant, CA/CPA
Relevant Experience
Minimum 20 years of experience with regional leadership
Previous experience working in Japanese MNC as Head of Finance
