Regional General Manager (Business Strategy)

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Global Business Development Group Manager (SVP and General Manager) by providing commercial and technical support across all areas to address customer needs.

He/she will collaborate and coordinate with the relevant Domain in Japan to achieve MHI’s business objectives and exceed clients’ expectations.

Job Responsibilities

Business Development Support

1. Provide commercial and technical support to shape customer needs.
2. Collaborate with the Energy and Environment Domain in Japan.
3. Understand customer needs from a technical perspective and provide concrete proposals.
4. Conduct investigations and analyses for technical development against competing companies.
5. Investigate and discuss promising partner companies in the AP region.
6. Prepare presentation materials targeted for specific projects.
7. Undertake and support special assignments on power plant and distributed power generation projects.

Requirements

1. Degree in Business or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years of working experience in a Plant and/or Engineering Industry.
3. Excellent Japanese language skills (JLPT N1 or equivalent level) in both business writing and speaking to coordinate and communicate precise information with Japanese stakeholders in the APAC region/counterparts in Japan HQ.
4. Good business acumen with proven business development track records.
5. Knowledge of project management and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) works.
6. Technical presentation skills with value engineering methodology.
