Regional Director – BIM Services

Position Summary:

The Regional Director for BIM Services will lead and manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) operations and strategy across the SG and MY region. This role drives the digital transformation of design, construction, and facility management processes by implementing BIM best practices. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep knowledge of BIM technologies, strong client-facing capabilities, and experience managing cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute regional BIM strategies aligned with corporate goals and digital transformation objectives.
2. Oversee the delivery of BIM projects across the region, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to standards.
3. Lead and mentor regional BIM teams, including managers, coordinators, and modelers.
4. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding BIM services.
5. Collaborate with business development teams to support BIM-related pursuits and proposals.
6. Standardize BIM processes and workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
7. Drive innovation through the adoption of new digital tools, platforms, and workflows (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Dynamo).
8. Monitor and report on project performance, resource allocation, and financial metrics.
9. Ensure compliance with regional codes, regulations, and BIM execution plans (BEPs).
10. Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the BIM community.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in BIM and digital delivery, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
3. Proven experience managing large-scale BIM projects in the AEC industry.
4. Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, LOD, COBie).
5. Proficiency in BIM software and tools: Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD, and others.
6. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
7. Experience with multi-disciplinary teams and cross-regional collaboration.
8. Familiarity with digital twins, GIS integration, and VDC is a plus.

Preferred Certifications:

1. Autodesk Certified Professional
2. Certified BIM Manager or similar (e.g., CanBIM, buildingSMART)
3. PMP or equivalent project management certification (optional)
