We are looking for the next regional & commercial director to Asia. Based out of our Singapore office your dual role will work closely with the functional management teams to ensure seamless coordination of local business operations while driving growth to enhance efficiency and synergy across the region.

The regional leader role will have emphasized focus on the critical importance of all associated responsibilities. A role on this level will be tasked with fulfilment of local activities alongside all other respective functions. As the regional leader you will oversee and make sure to deliver business acumen and results on these activities. The regional team is responsible for managing the business operations locally, and to ensure that all functions are coordinated.

What you will be doing as a key member of our team:
Sales Strategy:
  • Developing, communicating, and implementing a successful regional growth strategy in partnership with business unit sales leaders to improve the market position of HMH products, services, and capabilities.
  • Maintains current knowledge in developing trends and technologies within the Drilling, Construction and Mining industries.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to communicate potential growth opportunities for the region.
  • Creates business cases associated with regional strategies and sends long lead items requests as needed following DOA matrix.
Business Development:
  • Responsible for generating new commercial opportunities in currently served and unserved markets.
  • Establishes and supports beneficial business relationships with senior leaders of internal/external organizations.
  • Ensures HMH has an active industry presence within the region (IADC regional chapters, etc.).
  • Sets regional sales targets/KPIs (in alignment with Global KPIs) and monitors performance.
  • Responsibility for coordinating activities together with the respective other functions.
Sales Leadership:
  • Manages all existing accounts and opportunities in the region.
  • Responsible for building, managing and developing the regional sales team, by regional strategies and KPIs.
  • Provides leadership to the regional sales and commercial personnel.
  • Owns Regional Sales budget (total costs) for the region, including T&L expenses, etc.
Business Planning:
  • Owns regional forecast and running rhythm, aligning regional sales team opportunities with HMH ability and capability (providing input for IBP, Business reviews, etc.).
  • Responsible for building regional yearly budgets and monthly forecasts for all segments.
  • Communicates regional performance and progress to senior leadership through periodic status reports and presentations.
This is the competence you bring to the team:
  • A master’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of management or leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills with leading organizational transitions to ensure successful adoption of new processes.
  • Executive level presence with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to show and implement continual performance improvements.
  • Highly motivated and able to lead teams and achieve organizational goals.
  • Results oriented with risk management experience.
  • Excellent negotiation and sales skills.
  • Excellent and thorough understanding of market development and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
