Regional Business Manager
Our client is a leading chemical manufacturer and distributor (MNC) of specialty chemical with strong global presence, servicing various industries. Reporting to the Regional VP, this role will spearhead the development and execution of a strategic business plan with a mid-to-long-term focus to drive growth within a targeted segment.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the segment, focusing on both mid- and long-term goals, detailing resources required
• Growth & Innovation: Collaborate with global technical teams to achieve above-market growth through new product launches and applications development, managing the development pipeline and troubleshooting project obstacles
• Project Management & Accountability: Set and uphold performance standards, prioritizing projects, assigning resources, and establishing accountability in meeting deadlines, report quality, and project integrity.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a regional coordinator for customer account plans, harmonizing customer needs and business goals with the support of the global technical lead. Develop technical marketing materials and value propositions to support new products.
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Identify new business opportunities, such as emerging sub-markets, growth areas, trends, and customer needs. Use market insights to refine the company’s unique selling propositions.
• Customer Support: Provide technical and product support to customers, collaborate with local commercial teams to ensure timely project execution and accelerate results.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/ marketing/ business or relevant field
• Minimum 6 years of successful experience managing and leading commercial effort in chemical sector
• Proven track record with success in B2B marketing, planning and execution strategies
• Strong business acumen with working knowledge of applicable regulatory and industry requirements
• Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the Group
• Proficiency in written and spoken English, fluency in an additional Asian language is advantageous
• Comfortable travelling up to 50% of the time across region
