Real Estate Portfolio Manager (Multi Family Office) - Ethel T.
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Real Estate Portfolio Manager to join a Multi-family office in its early stages of development. As part of this start-up family office, you will be responsible for building, managing, and growing a diverse real estate portfolio, ranging from residential to commercial assets. The role involves end-to-end management of real estate investments, including acquisition, asset management, and disposition strategies, with a focus on delivering superior returns aligned with the family’s long-term investment objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the real estate investment portfolio, ensuring that asset meets the fund’s financial and strategic goals.
- Manage the acquisition, development, leasing, management, and disposition of real estate assets.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential real estate investment opportunities, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
- Conduct due diligence, financial analysis, and market research to support acquisition decisions.
- Develop and execute value-enhancing strategies for existing real estate assets. Work with property managers, leasing agents, and contractors to optimize asset performance, maintain properties, and ensure profitability.
- Perform financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and return projections for prospective and current investments.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for the family office, summarizing portfolio performance, risks, and returns.
- Monitor and mitigate risks associated with real estate investments, including market fluctuations, tenant risks, and regulatory changes. Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements related to real estate holdings.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, investors, property managers, lenders, and other stakeholders to source deals and manage assets effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with real estate market trends, economic factors, and regulatory developments to inform investment decisions and strategy.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in real estate investment, portfolio management, or asset management, with a strong background in residential and commercial real estate.
- Experience in start-ups or entrepreneurial environments is a plus, as is experience managing portfolios for private or family offices.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate markets, valuation, financial analysis, asset management, and real estate law and regulations. Experience with property acquisitions, leasing, and development.
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and analytical skills, with experience in cash flow forecasting, ROI analysis, and real estate financial structuring.
