Identify the nature of surveys and oversee daily statutory survey activities.
Conduct VDR/SVDR annual performance tests and statutory safety radio surveys onboard ships.
Prepare and submit survey reports to the relevant classification authority, ensuring all non-conformities are recorded.
Respond to customer inquiries and correspond on statutory survey matters.
Stay updated on international convention regulations and International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements.
Maintain and update survey checklists and approval certificates issued by classification bodies.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
Perform statutory surveys in compliance with the International Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention, Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU) Code, High-Speed Craft (HSC) Code, and Merchant Shipping Acts.
Strong technical knowledge of GMDSS and VDR/SVDR systems.
Minimum Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or Telecommunications Engineering with at least two years of relevant experience.
Possession of a valid General Operator’s Certificate (GOC).
