R&D Supervisor

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and drivenR&D Supervisorto lead product design and development activities in compliance with airworthiness requirements. The ideal candidate will oversee the R&D team's efforts, ensuring innovative solutions and timely project delivery while maintaining regulatory compliance and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the R&D team in designing, preparing, and conducting tests for new product developments.
• Ensure all product designs meet applicable airworthiness requirements and industry regulations.
• Manage and monitor project schedules to achieve timely delivery of milestones.
• Perform and review fundamental engineering calculations, such as mechanics and thermal properties, to support product development.
• Liaise with aircraft manufacturers and airlines to secure product certifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the R&D team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.

Job Requirements:

Experience and Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical and product design, with supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency in product design, solid mechanics, and material science.
• In-depth knowledge of FAA or EASA design data approval procedures and airworthiness regulations, such as FAR/CS 25, 21, 145.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team management and stakeholder collaboration.
• Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD tools and simulation software.
• Previous experience in the aviation or aerospace industry is highly desirable.
