Roles & Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / AUTHORIZATION LEVEL

1. Innovate and create value for the next generation of advanced complex systems.
2. Develop and design electronics architecture, circuits, and systems to meet future product specifications.
3. Brainstorm and contribute out-of-the-box solutions to create value for business and customers.
4. Conduct system analysis to achieve optimized design solutions to meet design specifications, project schedules, and cost targets.
5. Ensure design meets all regulatory requirements.
6. Participate in technical discussions and presentations of design solutions to customers.
7. Coordinate the fabrication, assembly, and validation of prototypes to ensure compliance with specifications.
8. Author specifications, requirements, and validation plans for the assigned design module.
9. Work with the manufacturing team and suppliers throughout the product cycle in a fast-paced environment.
10. Development and design opportunities in one or more of the following areas:
1. Embedded microprocessor system design.
2. Medical product design.
3. IO standards and protocols such as USB, IR, LAN, Bluetooth, etc.
4. Power electronics DC-DC, AC-DC converters, etc.
5. Analog sensing technologies, signal conditioning, etc.
11. Perform any other duties as assigned by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Masters/Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
2. Experience in embedded microprocessor system design, power management electronics, and small signal analog design.
3. Experience in product development preferred.

Other JOB-RELATED SKILLS

1. Knowledge in PC architecture, high-speed IO bus protocols (such as DDR, FSB, PCI-X), signal integrity techniques, and high-speed hardware design.
2. Good understanding of product safety, environmental testing, and EMC advantageous.
3. Strong knowledge of electronics fundamentals and principles.
4. Good team player with a strong passion for product design.
5. Experience in medical product compliance standards such as ISO13485 is an added advantage.
6. Simulation tools & programming skills (e.g., PSpice, Python) are an added advantage.
7. Overseas travel may be required.
