Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimations for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Identify and analyze cost variations, discrepancies, and potential risks, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost control and project profitability.
• Prepare and submit interim valuations, final accounts, and variation orders as per contract requirements.
• Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Provide cost advice and support to assist in decision-making processes during project planning and execution.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quantity surveying.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field; professional certification is a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant regulations.
• Familiarity with building codes, standards, and construction practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.
