Quantity Surveyor

About the role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects at Sundart Engineering Services (Singapore) Pte. Limited, a leading construction firm based in the Central Region. This is a full-time position that will involve working closely with the project management and site teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analysing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents
• Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
• Involve in all quantity surveying and contract administration activities for the projects
• Negotiating and managing subcontractor agreements and variations
• Preparing and submitting progress claims, final accounts, and other financial reports
• Providing advice and support to the project team on contractual and commercial matters
• Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures to optimise project profitability
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual requirements
• Close liaison among project managers, designers and vendors
• Ad-Hoc duties as assigned

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Experience to manage the project with contract value above 100 million
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management principles, and quantity surveying practices
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects concurrently
• Familiarity with local construction regulations and industry standards
• Strong skill in listening, reading, writing and communicating in English and Chinese
• Able to communicate with our factory staffs located in China
• ID experience is highly preferred
