Min 3 to 6 years of quantitative analyst experience supporting either physical or paper commodity trades
Proven experience working on building quantitative strategies
Extensive experience programming in Python, R or MATLAB
Our client is an established commodity trading firm. This is a newly created role based in town.
Report to the traders and the MD and support them to develop new, and improve existing quantitative or algorithmic trading strategies
Identify and implement predictive price signals using machine learning and statistics techniques
Develop trading strategies to optimise execution utilising market micro-structure analysis
Develop analytical tools and infrastructure including risk and trading reports and dashboards
Use advanced programming to implement and back-test quantitative models
Continuously monitor global market movements and share weekly fundamental research findings with the trading team, to facilitate informed decision-making and strategy development.
Strong academics in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Analytics, Economic Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Finance etc)
Min 3 to 6 years of quantitative analyst experience supporting either physical or paper commodity trades
Proven experience working on building quantitative strategies
Extensive programming experience in Python, R or MATLAB
Familiar with using SQL for managing data
Has experience using Tableau or Power BI
Results oriented with good people and communication skills. Has a good work attitude.
