The Job

The Quality Engineer will work closely with the Quality Manager for all airworthiness matters pertaining to all Civil Aviation Authorities (local and international) requirements. They will be assisting in ensuring all Quality Manuals are updated, audited, complied and approved for the company. They should also ensure high maintenance of quality and safety standards on operating procedures and systems are being carried out in the workshop with proper supporting documentation and provide appropriate communication/support to the workshop on a daily basis.

What You Can Expect of the Job

  1. You’ll support the Quality Manager with all matters pertaining to certification approval (aviation authority, standard) held by the Company, including the implementation of various policies.
  2. You’re responsible for ensuring all Technical Publications (including test data sheet & etc.) are current and readily available to Workshop personnel and appropriately controlled.
  3. You’re responsible for the review of bi-weekly Airworthiness Directives from FAA, EASA, CAAC websites and send the report to internal team on a routine basis.
  4. You’ll assist on the implementation and monitoring of the Quality Management System and Safety Management System (SMS) to satisfy the requirements of various Civil Aviation Authorities, Aerospace Standards 9110, 9120 & ISO 14001 standard.
  5. You’ll assist on maintaining all company standard operating procedures to ensure their currency and accuracy at all times and to liaise with all departments to ensure that new procedures are introduced, when necessary, in a timely manner.
  6. You’ll update and monitor the approved personnel authorization system and stamp registers as well as perform competency assessment for Workshop personnel before granting authorization.
  7. You’ll manage and control the calibration system for inspection, measuring and test equipment and to liaise with external calibration vendors pertaining to all calibration matters.
  8. You’ll participate in First Article Run for new capability setup.
  9. You’ll assist in conducting and monitoring of the internal and external audit process, including the development of the annual audit plan and the follow up of all corrective action arising from audits.
  10. You’ll support the collection, retention and disposal of all technical data/records retained as objective evidence of our repair work packages.
  11. You’ll organise workshop personnel training and participate in Continual Improvement program/initiative.
  12. You’ll manage internal scrap management (scrap vendor collection, issuance of scrap certificate upon request & etc.)
  13. You’ll monitor and maintain vendor management (Approved Vendor List (AVL) update, vendor certification tracking and update & etc.)
  14. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

What We Expect of You

  1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering with minimum 1 to 3 years of Quality Management and internal audit experience in aviation/ aerospace related field.
  2. At least 2 years of relevant experience in SAR 145, EASA 145, FAR 145 & CCAR 145 repair environment.
  3. Possess CAAS M10, L11 or L12, or C01 examination paper.
  4. Familiar with calibration of equipment system.
  5. A good team player with good communication skills who can work with minimal supervision.
  6. Attended Human Factors training (recommended).
  7. Lead Auditor trained (recommended).
  8. Knowledge of similar Liebherr-Aerospace products and services (if there is any).
  9. Experience in supporting external audits.
  10. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and may require working overtime if situation dictates.
