Quality Engineer

Job Summary

If you are looking for an opportunity in the Quality function, then Emerson has a great opportunity for you! The Quality Engineer ensures all components delivered from a supplier follow manufacturing specifications and company standards.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Ensure that suppliers understood Fisher requirement and implemented accordingly.
• Ensure incoming inspection activities comply with the product quality and safety requirements.
• Drive suppliers' continuous improvement initiatives in achieving company goals.
• Provide supervision to the QA Inspectors and Technicians.
• Develop and deliver training programs for the appropriate use of quality tools at work.
• Train and deliver quality requirements to suppliers clearly.
• Align inspection/testing method requirements if necessary.
• Connect with internal and external partners to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in reviews of product or service design to ensure that quality requirements are identified.
• Ensure smooth transit when changes take place in Suppliers (e.g. engineering changes or firmware changes).
• Conduct supplier performance monitoring/tracking.
• Handle supplier process validation.
• Maintain and update Supplier Approval list.
• Review the supplier material non-conformance dispositions and implement supplier corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage the Material Review Board.
• Conduct Supplier or process audits.

You actively listen and check for understanding. You continually scan the environment for technology breakthroughs.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities.
• Knowledgeable on Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).
• Good understanding of ISO 9000 QMS.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Diploma/Degree or any equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering or any related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to relate well with all levels of staff.
• Knowledge of statistical tools and computer software (Microsoft Office).
