Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Officer (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) to oversee the quality standards of our interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all materials, workmanship, and construction processes comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality execution while identifying and resolving any quality-related issues on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for interior fit-out projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct material inspections and ensure they meet approved specifications before installation.
Site Inspections & Audits
- Perform regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and adherence to quality standards.
- Identify defects, deviations, or non-compliance issues, and coordinate rectification work.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC reports, checklists, and inspection records.
Testing & Defect Management
- Conduct quality tests (e.g., paint adhesion, surface finishing, fixture alignment).
- Coordinate mock-up sample approvals and ensure they meet design intent.
- Monitor and track snagging lists / defects rectifications until completion.
Coordination & Documentation
- Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure all quality-related documents are updated and properly archived.
- Assist in handover documentation and quality certification processes.
Safety & Compliance Support
- Work closely with the safety team to ensure site conditions meet both quality and safety standards.
- Ensure workers follow proper installation methods to prevent defects and safety hazards.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
- At least 2-5 years of QA/QC experience in interior fit-out or renovation.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and workmanship standards for interior projects.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools, testing methods, and industry regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, or QA/QC reporting software is a plus.
