- Leads implementation of quality systems to adhere to product specifications, SOPs set for Production Processes and ISO22000 standards.
- Handles ISO documentation, ISO audits, external audits, customer audits and SFA audits, including liaising with external auditors and SFA officers.
- Ensures company’s ISO 22000 and SFA central kitchen license are maintained continuously
- Undertakes the full spectrum of Quality Assurance function, including but not limited to:
- Dealing with customer feedback investigations or product quality/safety issues by liaising and cooperating with interdepartmental colleagues and rectifying issues with the production and/ or logistics team.
- Daily inspections on cleanliness of production facility, condition of equipment, finished products, staff hygiene practices within production facilities to ensure compliance with Process Specifications or Food Safety Management System.
- Works with the head of production and team leads to ensure production flow and processes comply with existing food safety and hygiene standards.
- Plans and conducts internal food safety management audits periodically, and provides strategic advice and support to the production team in filling up the audit gaps.
- Conducts regular shelf life tests and sensory analysis of new and existing products.
- Responsible for proper information on product labels internally and externally for end consumers.
- Preparation of samples for microbial testing, regular shelf life testing and sensory analysis of new and existing products.
- Plays an active role in product development and contributes food science knowledge in troubleshooting issues in its early development stage, achieving a longer product shelf life and/ or in general achieving a better product all-round.
