Job description

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Assist QAD Manager to ensure that the Quality Performance of the warehouse operation and support processes conforms and meets the requirements and expectations of Customers and provides and initiate directions and objectives to do so.
  • Assist QAD Manager to manage the monitoring, measurement, review and audit of internal processes and controls (Quality and Process Engineering) specifically applicable to / and designed for customers.
  • Works with customer’s quality team and operation team and get its cooperation in following the Quality mandates that will prevent errors in the processes.
  • Connects with customers and conducts necessary and relevant meetings, updates, and discussions to address any Quality issues; and pursue continual improvement.
  • Leads and manages a team of Quality and/or Process Engineers who are responsible to support the objectives and goals of both Customers and OMNI QAD.
  • Assists OMNI SG Head of Department and/or OMNI SG Assistant Manager for ROC for quality improvement matters to ROC when needed and feasible.
  • Reporting on the performance of the quality management system to the company's management for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.
  • Assist QAD Manager as a Liaison with external parties on matters relating to the ISO 9001, AS9120, SS620: GDPMDS, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standard matter.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through Head of Division / Department.
  • Verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Evaluate and qualify potential raw materials’ supplier.
  • Prepares the Quality Manual, the Quality Procedures Manual.
  • Can be appointed as Management Representative that will be responsible for management review meeting/matters.
  • Audits the implementation of the quality system and industry standards that the company holds.
  • Initiates requests for, and follows up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure inspection, measuring and test equipment are calibrated.
  • Ensure inspections and testing are performed in accordance to documented quality procedures.
  • Ensure nonconforming products are handled in accordance to documented quality procedures.
  • Co-ordinates document control activities.
  • Ensure division / departments involved in the ISO 9001, AS9120 & SS620 and other management system standard the company complies to/implemented.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance as Supervisor or Quality Engineer.
  • Experience in assistant managerial/managerial position is an advantage.
  • Experience in holding a Management Representative (MR) role is an advantage.
  • Capability in Supervising and/or Managing Quality related matters and groups/teams.
  • Good communication skills (verbally and written) (ex. Report presentation and report creation).
  • Data and objective driven with good analytical skills.
  • Experience in dealing or managing customer concerns and matters.
  • Knowledge and/or experienced in executing Quality Tools and alike.
  • Knowledge / Trained in Management System standards (e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, AS9120, SS620, ANSI ESD 20.20, etc…).
  • Internal Auditor certified at least for ISO9001.
  • Excellent people and task management skills.
  • Degree in Engineering or Quality or related field.
