Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with FSSC 22000 standards.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS, HACCP, and relevant food safety regulations.
• Identify and assess food safety hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Lead and participate in external audits, including FSSC 22000 certification audits.
• Develop and deliver training programs on food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance for employees at all levels.
• Monitor and analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.
• Stay up to date with the latest food safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, records, and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist or similar role in the food industry, preferably in meat processing.
• Lead Auditor certification for FSSC 22000.
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP principles and implementation.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
