Assign QC Inspectors to various projects including fabrication workshops and project sites.
Ensure welding activities and resulting structures meet requirements of EN1090.
Provide information on quality matters to production to answer customer's questions on quality related issues.
Monitor Nonconformance Reports and Corrective Action Requests with an objective to reduce the nonconformance costs of the company.
Collect and analyze data on quality trends in the company and highlight abnormalities to the Management Representative.
Prepare Quality Assurance Plan to meet contractual requirements.
Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance to the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Project Quality Plan (PQP).
Maintain QC inspection & test records and compile them for submission to Customer.
Liaise with Production Department on the conduct of QC inspections & tests and arrange for witnessing from Customer.
Prepare Non-Conformance reports and liaise with the relevant action parties on the proper disposition of such Non-Conformances.
Conduct welders' qualification & welding procedure tests and maintain records of the qualified welders & procedures.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Proven experience of minimum 10 years in similar field (structural steelworks) or related industry.
Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
Proficient in MS Office - Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Familiarity or certification with relevant quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.). Certified lead or internal auditor preferred.
Qualified QMS Auditor.
Good knowledge in EN1090.
S'pore Structural Steel Society (SSSS) - Structural Steel Supervisor (StS) or Structural Steel Engineer (StEr) certs would be advantageous.
Possess certification in CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or AWS CWI / SCWI.
Good knowledge in codes such as AWS D1.1, BS EN & ISO standards.
