Formulating, implementing and managing QA/QC documents such as ITP, HAT,SAT and acceptance criteria and test protocols.
Setting up and executing quality control audits at planned stages to ensure products and services meet the contract specifications and shipyard's quality standards.
Attend material acceptance, Factory acceptance test and sea trial as QA/QC representative as and when required.
Preparing quality data collection, defect analysis and progress reports.
Performing quality audits on shipyard's quality system as and when required.
Representing the shipyard to liaise with Class, Owner reps and regulatory bodies for acceptance of inspection, tests and trials.
Managing the interests of various stakeholders on quality matters.
Requirements and skills
Candidates must have at least five years’ experience in a similar capacity in the marine and offshore industry, and possess at least a Degree / Diploma in Shipbuilding / Marine or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in shipyard to carry out inspection works on all trades ( Hull, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical , HVAC ) , and as QC commissioning engineer will be an advantage.
Good hands-on working knowledge of Class rules and international regulations.
Meticulous, organised and independent.
Good communication skills, confident in spoken and written English.
Proficient in relevant Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Project.
Experience in government shipbuilding projects would be an advantage.
