Provide quality assurance to clients by constantly reviewing their quality needs and implementing new strategies as necessary.
Specific responsibilities:
In liaison with the Section Heads, implement and maintain the Division QA program as per the QA Manual and all related procedures.
Prepare and calibrate standards as reagents.
Calibrate and maintain working condition of equipment and apparatus.
Meet the requirements of the laboratory calibration schedule.
Liaise with QAD personnel to solve problems relating to analysis quality and to initialize and implement new quality tools to raise the overall service standard.
Set up new methods and develop tests as required.
Organize validations and proficiency testing as appropriate and coordinate round robin testing.
In liaison with the Head Laboratory, raise and update standard and in-house test methods and procedures.
Perform operational analysis of routine samples as required.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Degree in Chemistry or related field.
Preferably 5-10 years of quality assurance/management experience in handling gas/petrochemical products.
Able to coordinate and motivate a team towards a common goal.
Able to maintain the highest quality standards at all times.
Able to maintain good turnaround time (TAT) and on-time delivery (OTD).
Technical knowledge and experience in the related field and in using quality management methods and tools.
Able to work independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously.
Able to interact with all levels of management, suppliers, and clients.
Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Acts quickly and decisively; able to make tough calls.
Works well under pressure and challenges the status quo.
Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity.
