Purchasing Lead (High Mix, Low Volume)

The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with an American MNC specializing in medical devices, and we are seeking to hire a Purchasing Lead to join their business permanently! Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, the successful incumbent will manage daily operations of purchasing including supplier performance management, reviewing excess and obsolete stock, overseeing last-time buys to minimize obsolescence, and driving process improvements to enhance overall performance while leading a team of 4.

• Full-time, permanent opportunity
• Work location: Boon Lay
• Work hours: Mondays - Fridays, 9am - 6pm
• Basic salary up to $7,000 + AWS + VB

The Job:

• Lead a small team in daily procurement operations
• Liaise with stakeholders to align demand requirements, ensure timely issuance of PO and monitor material deliveries against SIOP plan to prevent production disruptions
• Monitor inventory levels through regular reviews to meet raw material inventory targets, minimize excess and obsolete inventory, and execute Last-Time-Buy activities to mitigate obsolescence risks
• Manage supplier performance, including tracking, evaluation, and improvement initiatives
• Drive process optimization and foster continuous improvement to enhance operational performance
• Take the lead on special projects and key initiatives when necessary

The Talent:

• At least 4-5 years of purchasing experience, coupled with prior leadership experience, is a must
• Proficiency in SAP systems will be highly advantageous
• Strong leadership skills to effectively guide and mentor the team, drive performance, and achieve departmental goals while fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment
