Purchasing Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Source and identify suppliers for direct/indirect materials/services to expand supplier base and for new project/production needs;
2. Obtain quotes from newly sourced suppliers to provide costing and cost reduction;
3. Lead in conducting periodic price negotiations with suppliers to ensure competency in cost for materials/services;
4. Develop and negotiate favorable supply agreements with suppliers;
5. Work with Engineering/Unit Sales to analyze Sales Contract’s scope of supply and provide Sales Contract BOM Cost to Management;
6. Support in providing Project Costing;
7. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering/HVAC or equivalent;
2. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin to liaise with relevant Mandarin-speaking counterparts;
3. Excellent organization, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
