Job Summary: As an integral part of the marketing discipline, Public Relations and Marketing Communications (PRMC) are strategic functions that encompass the actions we take to influence our external guests, internal guests, owners, company and community-at-large. This role is responsible for assisting the Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications with driving public relations for the hotel as well as marketing collaterals and advertising. The activities and budget must be integrated into the hotel’s overall marketing plan and aligned to the primary revenue objectives of the hotel.
Core Responsibilities: Public Relations:
Build and develop relationships with the media and KOLs to generate A-list coverage through media FAM stays and hosted media tastings.
Handle room bookings/complimentary forms for media visits, dining and send out internal media advisories.
Handle incoming media requests and enquiries on a timely basis.
Prepare press kits for media FAMs, media tastings and press deliveries.
Assist with sending media invitations and collating RSVP for media tastings and special events/launches.
Draft and distribute press releases to media.
Pitch for media interview opportunities to secure high-quality coverage.
Facilitate media filming, interviews and photoshoots.
Daily media monitoring and clipping of all relevant print and online articles.
Prepare and compile monthly media coverage reports.
Update and maintain the media database.
Coordinate with PR agency in ensuring communications plan supports the Marketing and commercial objectives of F&B.
Marketing Communications:
Ensure that all hotel promotions are in line with The Ritz-Carlton brand image and reflect the highest level of professionalism in content and presentation.
Assist in copywriting, development and print production of hotel marketing collaterals and ensure all hotel collaterals are in adherence to The Ritz-Carlton brand voice and in compliance with Brand Standards Audit (BSA).
Administrative:
Update Awards folder and keep track of Accolades.
Update and maintain online media rate kits.
Raise purchase requisitions and tracks all quotations and invoices.
Prepare monthly finance report, including checkbook accounting.
Assist with distribution of Marketing Collaterals and Magazines to various departments.
Files new digital and collateral assets and maintains the PRMC shared folder.
Regularly updates inventory levels of gifts/collaterals and update PRMC Noticeboard.
Candidate Profile: Essential:
A minimum 1 year of experience in travel, hospitality, luxury goods or PR agency preferred.
Possess existing relationships with local media or key opinion leaders.
Superior writing ability and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Working knowledge of social media platforms.
Proficiency in photo and video editing software (Photoshop, Canva, Capcut) would be a bonus.
Knowledge of production methods in graphic arts, printing, film, radio and television would be a plus.
Represent the company in a positive and professional light; able to interact well with media, guests, management, suppliers and staff.
Education or Certification:
University Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or Mass Communications preferred.
Desirable:
Creative, organised and possess a keen eye for details.
Marketing knowledge; ability to drive promotions to support sales and marketing goals.
Superior organizational skills – can handle multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Diplomatic and good interpersonal skills to maintain open communication and good relationship with all departments.

Flexibility to handle unforeseen situations.
Previous guest relations training.
